Hell froze over: Microsoft and SuSE.

Microsoft has partnered with Novell, and is recommending SuSE to its customers.

No, really, it's not a joke. There's even video of Steve Ballmer saying it!

We've known for a while that Vista was a nonstarter. The "delay in shipping to manufacturing" is because all the manufacturers rejected it; in addition to it being crap the highest volume price point is machines costing $500 or less, and you can't run Vista on those. This announcement is about servers and patents and such, but... Wow.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. We have reached Gandhi-Con 4.

Time to get serious on the 64-bit paper. Gotta visit Erik next weekend...
