Exercise bike with laptop stand, take 2. [Jun. 26th, 2007|12:52 am]

My old friend Heather the librarian in Abeline pointed me to an exercise bicycle built into a desk, with a raised keyboard tray. It's not quite a laptop stand, but looks quite workable, and I want one. :)

And only $400. Well, but if it would help you be more productive *and* get you more exercise, I'd contribute.

Stationary bikes make me think of a hamster's exercise wheel. I prefer walking to attempt to burn off my excess calories.

I'd try hacking the exercise bike so my pedaling could be translated into Emacs commands.

Going out of Business?

I'm sorry to put a wrench in the works folks, but I went back to see the bike again as I was thinking of ordering one for myself and discovered that the entire business and the website is now up for sale. The only thing you can order off the web page now is the recumbent bike. So my thoughts at the moment are get a recumbent bike in town save the shipping and take the picture of desk to a local woodworking shop. Sigh. The community college that I work at (With a wood shop class, with a teacher that Loves to take on projects :) won't be back until September. Drats... P.S. I object the word 'old'. ;) Heather
